The Giant Easter Egg

One cloudy afternoon I was steering out my window. Once I heard a knock. I creped down the stairs and slightly opened my door. At the door was some small Easter eggs that were for me and my friends. When I called my friends I asked there mums if that they can have a sleepover. They said yes. There names were Tegan,Chloe,Tyra-Leigh and last but not least Manaia. When they came over we heard a louder knock. We tip toed to the door and opened it. Once there was a... Giant Easter egg. It had a black wrapper around it, sharp teeth like sharks, red evil eyes like witches and a really ugly head. We shut the door and ran up the stairs and into my bedroom and shut the door. We went in my huge bed. I pulled my knees up to my chin and pulled the blanket over us. When my mum got home from work she got a shock. She went back in her car and she was driving away. Once when the giant egg got tired he went walking away and we went in our beds and fell asleep.

Today I made puppet pals with jade.

Growing Crystals

Yesterday we did a crystals experiment.
First we got a ice-block stick and a piece of string.
Next we tied a piece of string on the ice-block stick.
Then we sat at our tables and waited for our saturated solution of sugar and water.
After that my teacher Mrs Natusch poured the saturated solution into our cups and then we put our ice block stick into our cups.
Last of all we put our cups on the window sill.

I predict that the crystals would stick on the string.

How Caves Are Formed

Step 1- Rain soaks in the soil and goes though the cracks.

Step 2 - When it rains it makes puddles and goes though the cracks and it dissolves and makes carbon dioxide bubbles.

Step 3 - When it rains water goes through the cracks and makes tunnels.

Step 4 - When it rains more it makes bigger tunnels.

Step 5 - When it rains more they make stalactites and stalagmites and more tunnels.

Waitomo Caves

Fun trip to waitomo caves

Yesterday the middle team went to waitomo caves to learn and we went on a bus.

First we went in then bus and the driver was driving and I got to tired.

Next we arrived to waitomo caves and we lined up then we had a photo.

Then we were walking and I was walking with Hannah and my mum.

Then we were walking into the cave and we had a guide
with us and teaching us about stalactites and stalagmites.

Next we sang a song.

Then we went in a boat and look at the glow worms.

After that we had morning tea.

After morning tea we went to the museum and have a look around and it had a tunnel.

Next we went to have a lesson next to the museum.

This man called rich thought us about caves, glow worms and lime stone.

We also watched some video.

Then we went back on the bus and went to the bush walk.

Then we had lunch.

After lunch we lined up and we were walking in the bush.

Then my mum got lost.

Then I picked up a lime stone.

Then we went thought the cave and go back to the bus and I saw my mum and she told me that she got lost.

The pink gumboot adventure

One day there was a box. It was durty colouled brown with yuky dust that can make you sneeze ACHOO! In the box there was a magical crystal. There was a boy who was called paul. He was walking to the yuky box.Then he took the lid of and he saw a...MAGICAL CRYSTAL! He got shoked when he saw that crystal.Then he did not tell any one that he had a magical crystal but he did tell his family. He felt that he was rich but he dosen't want to give it away. He dosen't want to show his friends because he will think they will get jelus of him that he has a crystal but his friends dosen't.So he leaved it in a that yuky colouled brown dusty box.Then he put the box under his bed so when his friends come to his place he wont see it.In the morning paul thought he lost his box. He cheacked every where but not under his bed. So he told his mum that he lost his box.Then his mum "said did you cheack under your bed".Then he went in his room and he cheacked under his bed and he found it. He said to himself I think that I forgot that I leaft my box under my bed.Then paul put back the box where it belongs then he went home.

We always take our dog for a walk in town, We decided to take her to the beach for a play. My dog splashed, splashed and splashed the icy cold water on me. I was wet everywhere! Then I went to get change in my spare cloths. My mum said "It is getting late and it is school tomorrow and I don’t want you to get late at your science, learning school" Then we went back to my dad’s red and white car and took my woolly, furry wet dog. I hope we return some time in the holidays.

Swimming skills

The skill that is my favourite is back stroke, freestyle and gliding. The skill that I found tricky was the freestyle breathing. Back stroke is my favourite one because I can breath and it is hard work because you will learn how to do back stroke.

The haunted house

One night I saw this house, I step  on this pressure plate. It set me down this glowing cave I wonder where I went I saw something moving and it was the brightly coloured glow worms. When I was close to shore I step on another pressure plate I don't know where I ended up then I saw this door. I know where I am. I am in the house! It had different kind of bugs. Then I saw something floating in the air. I got scared and it was floating to me. I was looking out the window and there was no ladder or pressure plate. I think I am in a haunted house. I said HELP, HELP, HELP but the scary white ugly ghost stopped me from saying help. I got trapped, there was no where else to go. The ghost brought his new friends. I just remembered that my dad gave me his knife if I was in trouble. I used it to cut the tight rope. I quickly ran out the door and jumped as quickly as I can. But all the bugs and the ghost went out of the door and fly and climb down. I ran back home and tell my brother's that there monster's in the park.

Hello I am in room7 for another yr.
 The things that I enjoy is swimming, writing and maths.
I'm 8 yrs old. My favourite colour is purple.
I have one brother.
 I am a yr 4.
 I'm looking forward for being a yr 4 leader.
I am going to be 9 this yr.
I am enjoying this class I don't want to leave it.

My Holiday

In the holidays I went down to Glenview to see my nana's, who came up from Palmerton north. On Tuesday before the leave I went down to say goodbye and I my nana said if I want to go down and I said yes. Then we went back home and get some clothes. Then we went back to Glenview. My nana who lives in Glenview came to palmerston north with her dog, Chloe. then we were leaving and I said goodbye to my dad, mum and also brother. For lunch we had fish 'n' chips and we went past, this mountain. It took a day to get to palmerston north. When we got to our nana's house we were ripping bread because she feeds the birds every morning. We fed the birds with bread and bird seeds. Then we went back to bed because it was to early and old. In the morning I had toast for breakfast. There is this holiday park and it is called the esplanade. It has got two trampling's a train, little kids playground, jungle house, flying fox, bird cages and last is the small pool. In the cages are kea, kaka, peacock, different ducks, chicks a rooster and plenty more. The next day we went to this park and it is called the memorial park where the free swimming pools are. I made two friends in palmerston north. The esplanade closes on school days and winter. I had the best time in palmerston north.
